Marquette – “A Vision of Justice and Peace in Palestine and Israel” will be presented by Pastor Nancy Amacher on Monday, August 8 at 6 p.m. at Messiah Lutheran Church, 305 W. Magnetic Street in Marquette.
Amacher is a retired ELCA pastor and former senior pastor at Messiah Lutheran Church and will talk about her experiences in Israel and Palestine as she was part of a team sponsored by the World Council of Churches that provided protective presence at checkpoints, schools, demolitions and demonstrations.
The program is free and open to all. A good will offering will be collected to support the work of the WCC volunteer program, and light refreshments will follow the presentation and discussion.
