Negaunee – Local author Larry Buege will give a presentation on how Native Americans survived in the Upper Peninsula on Tuesday, July 26 at 10:30 a.m. at the Negaunee Public Library.
Hear how to start a fire, how to prepare earthworms for eating, how to make a wigwam, how to harvest and prepare rock tripe, how to make a rope out of milkweed, how to make a birch bark torch, and how to prepare acorns and make acorn cookies.
This story time is for ages 5 years and older and is free to attend. Children must be accompanied by a loving adult.
