Ishpeming – The 3rd Annual Speed the Light Glow Run will be held on Friday, August 5 beginning with registration at 8 p.m. in the parking lot of NorthIron Church on U.S. 41 West in Ishpeming. The race begins at 9:30 p.m.
This is a family friendly event for all ages. The theme is Star Wars and there will be appearances at the event and on the trail of many Star Wars characters. The race starts at the church in a party zone, then along your route there will be a party zone where we’ll be illuminating you with
black lights and pumping tunes to keep you moving. The finish will be one big party with a light show, black lights, glow sticks and music. Want to be healthier and support a good cause? Run in the speed the light glow run!
Some glow items will be provided, but don’t forget to come decked out in your glow items (glow sticks, glow paint, etc.). You will be given a t-shirt to wear during the race on race day. Wear clothing that you would be fine with getting glow paint or other glow items on.
