Marquette/Chatham – Slow Food of the Central Upper Peninsula will sponsor its third annual fundraising and educational dinner on Saturday, September 10 at the Rock River Cafe in Chatham.
This event celebrates local, seasonal, sustainable food while supporting local farmers and businesses. Attendees will meet at the Marquette Commons at 5 p.m. to car pool/caravan to the Dukes and Rock River farms. Appetizers and wine will be served at each of the farms, followed by a private, five-course gourmet dinner at the cafe.
Tickets cost is $30 for Slow Food members and volunteers, $35 for others, with a $5 discount for designated drivers and those selecting a no alcohol option. Cost includes the two farm visits and tours, dinner, appetizers, wine and gratuity.
