Marquette – The Raptors for Vets Fundraiser to announce “Homefront”, a program to support veterans’ services, will be held on Wednesday, June 22 at 5:30 p.m. at the Frazier’s Lake Superior Yacht Yard on Lakeshore Boulevard in Marquette.
“Homefront” is a new class for families, partners and friends of service members and veterans experiencing mental health challenges to be offered by the National Alliance on Mental Illness-Alger/Marquette.
This fundraiser coincides with the arrival of the Traveling Vietnam Wall, and is a rare opportunity for the public to meet the Chocolay Raptor Center’s three ambassador raptors (great horned owl, red-tailed hawk, and peregrine falcon). A suggested donation is $15 for adults and free for children.
