Marquette – The Superior Arts Youth Theater will be holding auditions for their upcoming summer production of “Roald Dahl’s James and the Giant Peach JR.”. Acting auditions will be on Monday, May 23 and Tuesday, May 24 with dance auditions on Wednesday, May 25 on the 3rd floor at the Graveraet School, 611 N. Front Street in Marquette. Audition times each day are from 5 to 8 p.m.
Those auditioning should prepare a 60-90 second song cutting. Sheet music is preferred and we will provide a pianist. Those ages 13 or older should also prepare a 1-2 minute monologue. Please adhere to the time limits and come dressed to dance at the dance audition, choreography will be taught.
Youth ages 4 to 18 are eligible to audition. Youth actors, singers, gymnasts and dancers are all needed for a variety of parts. Those auditioning may be asked to read from scenes, sing a song, and dance. There is no cost to audition but there is a registration fee to participate in the production. There are special family rates and scholarships available.
