Marquette – A reception for the annual Children’s Art Exhibition will be held on Friday, May 13 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the DeVos Art Museum at Northern Michigan University.
The exhibition celebrates creativity in the local schools, area art programs, teachers and young artists. Participating schools include: Autrain-Onota; Father Marquette; Gwinn Area Community Schools; Ishpeming; Marquette; Negaunee; NICE Community School District; North Star Academy; and Powell Township School District. It will remain on display through May 22.
Admission is free. The DeVos Art Museum hours are: 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday-Wednesday and Friday; noon to 8 p.m. Thursday; and 1 to 4 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.
