Marquette – Vertigo Theatre Company and Peter White Public Library will present “That’s What She Said,” a showcase of short plays by female writers, on Thursday, May 26 and Friday, May 27 at 7 p.m. and Saturday, May 28 at 2 p.m. in the library’s Community Room.
Some of the area’s finest local talent will knock your socks off with side-splitting and sometimes touching performances about the twists and turns along the winding road of life … from the female point of view. Romance, career, and dysfunctional family dynamics will each take their turn in the spotlight. Forget yourself for a couple of hours and be entertained by the wit, humor, woes, dreams, fantasies and foibles of a few fabulous female playwrights … whose stories are brought to life on stage just for you.
The event is appropriate for audiences ages 16 and up. Tickets are $10 and are available in advance at the circulation desk at the Peter White Public Library, by phone with a valid credit card at 228-9510, and at the door, payable by cash or check only. Proceeds will benefit the library.
