Marquette – In honor of May as Mental Health month, a drop-in Lunch and Learn session on NAMI, the National Alliance on Mental Illness, will be held on Wednesday, May 11 at noon in the Community Room of the Peter White Public Library.
Members of the Alger/Marquette Chapter of NAMI, Cindy Bertucci, president and Susan Maynard, vice president, will give an overview of the support services that are available locally through NAMI, the nation’s largest grassroots mental health organization dedicated to building better lives for the millions of Americans affected by mental illness.
There is no admission charge to attend the event and no pre-registration is required. Attendees are invited to bring a sack lunch. The presentation is part of Your Mind Matters, a community dialog on mental health issues sponsored by a coalition of community groups and the Peter White Public Library.
