Marquette – Retired McGill University professor, Roger Magnuson will teach a six week course entitled “Paris Under Nazi Germany ” beginning on Thursday, April 21 at 6:30 p.m. in the Lions Room of the Peter White Public Library.
Covering the period during World War II from May 1940 to late summer of 1944, the course will examine conditions under the Nazi military administration set up in Paris, known as Vichy France. The dictatorship ended with the liberation of France with the Allies
landings at Normandy and Provence.
The class meets weekly on Thursdays from 6:30 to 8 p.m and runs through May 26. The class is open to the public at no charge and no registration is required.
