Calendar – Films/Documentaries – History Film Series to Screen “North Country” – Apr. 11

Marquette – The Beaumier U.P. Heritage Center, Department of History and the NMU History Club’s Film Series will offer a screening of “North Country” on Monday, April 11 at 7 p.m. in Mead Auditorium on the campus of Northern Michigan University.

“North Country” is a fictionalized account of the first major successful sexual harassment case in the United States: Jenson vs. Eveleth Mines. A woman who endured a range of abuse while working as a miner filed and won the landmark 1984 lawsuit.

Admission is free and the screening is open to the public.
