Hancock – The Nordic Film Series will screen the film “Ella and Friends” on Thursday, March 10 at 2 p.m. and again at 6 p.m. at the Finlandia University Finnish American Heritage Center in Hancock.
The movie revolves around young Ella and her group of friends, who learn that their neighborhood school will be closed and consolidated with a fancy learning facility in the city center. Once they discover why, they team with their teacher to fight for their beloved school.
The film, which has a run time of about 1 hour and 20 minutes, is fast-paced and funny, but also has a meaningful message within and is relatable for both children and adults. It is in Finnish with English subtitles.
