Fringe Fest Continues at NMU Feb. 18-20

Marquette, MI – Northern Michigan University presents Fringe Fest, a revolving combination of four different theatrical pieces performed, produced and directed by students in the theater and entertainment arts program. Performances are scheduled at 7:30 p.m. Thursday-Saturday,  Feb. 18-20, with 1 p.m. matinees both Saturdays. They will be held in the Panowski Black Box Theatre in the McClintock Building.

The pieces include: The Soul Truth by NMU professor Paul Truckey; Love Notes by NMU senior Javonte Thompson; The Colored Museum, which offers a satirical look at prominent themes and identities of African American culture; and International Stud, which focuses on a drag queen looking for love in the backrooms of the 1980s New York gay scene.

Tickets per event are $15 for the general public, $10 for students and $5 for NMU students. They are available at all NMU EZ Ticket outlets or online at www.nmu.edu/tickets.

The detailed schedule of show combinations follows:

International Stud/Love Notes: Friday, Feb. 19.

The Colored Museum/The Soul Truth: Saturday, Feb. 20 (7:30 p.m.).

Love Notes/The Soul Truth: Thursday, Feb. 18.

International Stud/The Colored Museum: Saturday, Feb. 20 (1 p.m.).
