(Marquette, MI) – Peter White Public Library’s Matinee Movie series continues on Tuesday, February 16 at 12:30pm with a screening of “Mr. Holmes” in the library’s Community room.
Ian McKellen stars as an aged, retired Sherlock Holmes who deals with early dementia as he tries to remember both his final case and a mysterious woman whose memory haunts him. He also befriends a fan, the young son of his housekeeper, who wants him to work again.
Co-starring Laura Linney and Milo Parker, “Mr. Holmes” is based on the novel “ A Slight Trick of the Mind” by Mitch Cullin. The film has been nominated for 9 independent and film critic awards, was released in 2015, is rated PG and 104 minutes.
Matinee Movie welcomes the public to bring their own lunch and enjoy a film in a dinner theater setting. Closed captioning will be on to ensure access for all.
