Marquette, MI – Peter White Public Library invites viewers to a free screening of the modern classic film “The Queen” on Thursday, February 18 at 6:30 pm in the library’s Community Room.
This biographical drama takes place in 1997 after the death of Diana, Princess of Wales as Britain’s Queen Elizabeth II, played by Helen Mirren, struggles with her reaction to a sequence of events nobody could have predicted.
Costarring Michael Sheen as British Prime Minister Tony Blair and James Cromwell as Prince Phillip, this film features Helen Mirren’s Academy Award and Golden Globe Award Best Actress winning performance.
A six time Oscar nominee, “The Queen” was released in 2006, is rated PG-13, and runs for 103 minutes. Light refreshments will be served.
