History Film Series Opens with ‘A Knight’s Tale’ February 1st

Marquette, MI – The Beaumier U.P. Heritage Center, Department of History and Northern Michigan University History Club are collaborating on a History Film series over several weeks this semester. Faculty or staff members will introduce films set in historic eras and hold a discussion after the screening. The series opens with A Knight’s Tale, starring Health Ledger and Paul Bettany. It will be shown at 7 p.m. Monday, Feb. 1, in Mead Auditorium in the West Science Building. Admission is free. Faculty members Keith Kendall and Nick Dupras will be present the film.

A Knight’s Tale is about a peasant squire who, following his master’s death, is fueled by his desire for food and glory to create a new identify for himself as a knight.
