Marquette – The Beaumier U.P. Heritage Center and the U.S. Ski and Snowboard Hall of Fame will host a Vintage Ski Day on Saturday, February 6 beginning at 1 p.m. at Marquette Mountain.
Things kick off with a Vintage Ski Race at 1 p.m., followed by a Vintage Costume Fashion Show at 2 p.m. and a Vintage Ski Contest at 3 p.m.
A concert, featuring Great Lakes Graham and the Fiddleman and Wildhack will be offered at 7 p.m. Admission for this concert is free to the public.
Warren Miller films will be shown throughout the day and displays of ski equipment and memorabilia will also be on display.
People who are coming to ski are being asked to dress up in their oldest ski wear. A contest will be held to judge their clothing. Marquette Mountain will donate $5 to the museums for each person who buys a day ski pass in a vintage ski outfit.
