Marquette – The Marquette Astronomical Society will offer a public observing night, in conjunction with the “International Observe the Moon Night,” on Saturday, September 19 from 9 to 11 p.m. at the Kaufman Sports Complex in Marquette.
Telescopes will be setup, weather permitting. Objects to be observe include the Moon as well as the planet Saturn, the Andromeda Galaxy and numerous star clusters and nebulae. Moon maps will be distributed showing key features to look for in the scopes.
If the Moon can not be seen, the event will be canceled. Please park at the entrance to the Park and walk in.
