Calendar – Community – Town Hall Meeting to Address Limited Access to Healthy Foods in Michigan. – Jan. 20

L’Anse – The American Heart Association will host Town Hall Meetings, to discuss the lack of access to nutritious foods in Baraga and Marquette counties and across the state, on Wednesday, January 20 from 9:30 to 11 a.m. and from 4:30 to 6 p.m. in the Jay Loonsfoot Room at Keweenaw Bay Ojibwa Community College in L’Anse.

According to The Food Trust, 1.8 million Michigan residents, including 300,000 children, live in communities where they do not have easy, or any, access to affordable healthy food.
