Hancock – “Raise the Woof,” a comedy show fundraiser for Copper Country Humane Society, will be held on Saturday, January 23. at the Orpheum Theater in Hancock. The three-act comedy show begins at 8 p.m. Doors open at 7 p.m.
The headliner act is Sid Davis. In 2014, Davis opened for comedy legend Joan Rivers.
Prior to comedy, Davis worked in a variety of fields from radio advertising and insurance sales to airline baggage handling, and he often pulls material from his life experiences to capture audiences.
“Raise the Woof” is a stand-up comedy tour that works with local animal rescues in the cities it plays. It gives a voice to animals through laughter, spreading awareness and raising money. The show guarantees a night of laughs that brings good feelings to everyone.
Ticket donations are $15 per person or $25 for two. Reservations can be made online at www.cchumanesociety.com. Tickets can also be purchased at the following locations: Orpheum Theater, The Wolf, and K-Bear Studios. All ticket proceeds benefit Copper Country Humane Society.
