Marquette – The Building Hope in Uncertain Times book study will meet on Wednesday, January 13 at 7 p.m. in the Shiras Room of the Peter White Public Library.
Participants will explore Section 5: “Courage is Contagious” of “The Impossible Will Take a Little While” edited by Paul Rogat Loeb. Ruth Almen, MSW and Marquette YMCA employee, will facilitate this month’s discussion which examines how the boldness of others in facing down injustice can help each of us be undaunted and multiply the effect of that courage so that positive change will take place..
Participants are encouraged to read the chapter before attending the book discussion but all are encouraged to join in, regardless. The book is available through your public library, local bookstore and online.
The book discussion group meets, generally, on the second Wednesday of each month and the discussion is facilitated by different community leaders each time. There is no admission charge. For more information, go to www.pwpl.info or call 226-4318.
