Negaunee – The Upper Peninsula Animal Welfare Shelter will host the annual Home for the Holidays Open House on Saturday, December 19 from noon to 6:30 p.m. at the shelter, 84 Snowfield Road in Negaunee Township.
Tour the shelter, enjoy baked goods and refreshments, meet the shelter pets, and visit with the staff, volunteers, and board members.
There will be adoption specials. Pick a candy cane from Santa’s stocking for 10 to 50 percent off pet adoptions, plus a chance to draw a free adoption. All adopted pets will go home with a Christmas gift.
