NMU Holds Regional Police Academy Meeting – Dec. 1

Marquette, MichiganNovember 27, 2015 – The Northern Michigan University Regional Police Academy will hold a mandatory meeting on Tuesday, Dec. 1, for those planning to attend the 2016 academy. The meeting will run from 5-5:45 p.m. in room 132 of the Jacobetti Complex. It is intended for those who will participate in the May 2-Aug. 16 session.

The NMU Regional Police Academy is a 16-week, 800-hour police training school designed to provide basic law enforcement training to in-service and pre-service recruits. The curriculum covers such topics as physical fitness training, firearms, precision driving, first aid and CPR, police tactics, defensive tactics, criminal justice, domestic violence, traffic enforcement, criminal law and other law enforcement areas.
