Marquette – Northern Michigan University will host its 28th annual Lighting up the Holidays on Wednesday, December 2 from 5 to 8 p.m. at the University Center.
The event is free and open to the public. Activities will include a visit from Santa and photos, horse-drawn hayrides, face painting, free children’s books, entertainment, games, crafts and refreshments.
Northern Lights Acapella, NMU Cheerleading and New Attitudes dance team will perform. NMU President Fritz Erickson will deliver a welcome message and the NMU Bookstore will be open extended hours for its holiday sale.
