Negaunee, Michigan – October 15, 2015 – Get out and enjoy an October weekend in downtown Negaunee with the first ever Oktoberfest on Saturday, October 17th from 11AM-6PM.
The event will feature:
- Authentic German Meal Special at Midtown Bakery & Café
- House beer and pretzel specials at Jackson’s Pit and Tino’s Pizza
- Warm nuts and popcorn
- Mustard, vegan sausage, and cheese tasting at City Green Market
- Hot tea tasting and authentic German showcase of German teapots and teacups at Hanna’s Tea Times
- Pumpkin painting at Panache Boutique
- Live “Oompha” Band: Wil Kilpela & Friends at the NegauneeBand Shell
- Costume photos with the Historic Vista Theater Costumes
- “Find Your Stein Mug” at Lowenstein’s and Old Bank Building Antiques Stores
- Stein holding contest from 12PM-12:30PM at the Negaunee Band Shell
- Soup Cook Off at the from 1:30PM-5PM at the Negaunee Eagle’s Club
- Yodeling contest with 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place prizes from 2PM-3PM at the Negaunee Band Shell
- Chicken Dance kids at 3PM-3:30PM at the Negaunee Band Shell
- Best German costume contest from 4PM-4:30PM at the Negaunee Band Shell
- Free Hill Top Farm wagon hay rides guided tour of the downtown Negaunee area all day long from 11AM-6PM
- Movie showing: “Beerfest” at the Historic Vista Theater at 7:30PM
