Tech Board of Trustees Regular Meeting Scheduled – Oct. 16

Houghton, MichiganOctober 14, 2015 – Michigan Technological University’s Board of Trustees will hold its regular meeting at 9 a.m. Friday, Oct. 16, in Memorial Union Ballroom B.

The agenda includes review of state capital outlay proposals for fiscal year 2017, including a health sciences and medical engineering building; student maker spaces to encourage students to actively participate in hands-on design, construction, characterization, and testing of products and materials, and in studying and modifying the behavior of natural and built systems; and a Net-Positive Exergy Microgrid Research Building.

The Board will also act on recommendations to award the University’s Silver Medal and an honorary doctorate and to grant professor emeritus status to a retiring professor.
