Marquette, Michigan – October 9, 2015 – Northern Michigan University’s Center for Native American Studies will host an Indigenous People’s Resistance Day event. It will take place at 7 p.m. Monday, Oct. 12, in Jamrich 1322. Guest presenter Judge Ruth Hopkins will join via Skype to talk about colonialism and attempted genocides of Native Americans.
