Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan – September 24, 2015 – Downtown Sault Ste. Marie’s 12th annual Oktoberfest will take place, starting at noon and continuing well into the night.
Highlights include strength games such as tire flipping, keg carrying and tossing, and of course beer, bratwursts and other specialty foods and beverages. Restaurants and pubs including Moloney’s Alley, Soo Brewing Company, The Palace Restaurant & Saloon, the Satisfied Frog, Subway, Frank’s Place, 1668 Winery and Lockside Brewery, the Alpha Bar and Zorba’s will be selling specialty food and beverages throughout the day and providing outdoor seating.
Oktoberfest will also include an arts and craft market, dancing, and live music late into the night.
Schedule of Events
- 7am-11am: Sault International Festival of Races finish line at the corner of Ashmun & Portage
- 12pm-1pm: Crime Stoppers Fire Truck Pull on the corner of Ashmun and Portage
- 11am-6pm: Arts, crafts, and food vendors on Portage Avenue
- 1pm-6pm: Music, dancing, Tug-o-War, and other games along Portage Avenue
- 5pm-10pm: Beer tent and live music on Portage Avenue near the Ramada Ojibway
