Marquette – Authors Leslie Jamison and Eula Bliss will hold a dual reading, to kick off the 2015-16 Northern Michigan University Visiting Writers Series, on Tuesday, September 8 at 7:30 p.m. in the Ontario Room of the University Center at NMU.
Jamison is the author of “The Empathy Exams,” a New York Times bestselling essay collection, and a novel “The Gin Closet,” a finalist for the Los Angeles Times First Fiction Award.
Bliss is the author of “On Immunity: An Inoculation,” “Notes from No Man’s Land: American Essays,” and “The Balloonists.” Her essays have appeared in various journals.
The series is sponsored by the MFA and MA programs in creative writing, NMU’s English department, Passages North literary magazine and Sigma Tau Delta. Light refreshments will be served. This event is free and open to the public.
