Marquette – Find inspiration to keep going when times are tough in the Building Hope in Uncertain Times program series which kicks off on Wednesday, September 9 at 7 p.m. in the Shiras Room of the Peter White Public Library.
The program series is based on the anthology “The Impossible Will Take a Little While: Perseverance and Hope in Troubled Times” edited by Paul Rogat Loeb, and offers a variety of events to inspire, encourage and
create positive change within our community.
The first Building Hope Book Discussion will be a conversation about Section One: Seeds of the Impossible. Facilitated this month by Fran Darling and Kathryn Russell, retired teachers, the discussion will explore how people are making a difference through work on a suicide hotline, helping the homeless, supporting underprivileged children, enlisting in the Peace Corps and working with Mother Teresa.
Participants are encouraged to read the chapter before attending the book discussion but all are encouraged to join in, regardless. The book discussion group will meet generally on the second Wednesday of each month with discussion facilitators each month.
There is no admission charge. For more information, go to www.pwpl.info.
