Ishpeming – Speed the Light Glow Run, a family friendly event for all ages, will be held on Friday, August 14 beginning with registration at 7:30 p.m. at Good News Assembly of God on US 41 in Ishpeming. The race will kick off at 9 p.m.
The parking lot will be turned into a party zone. Along your route there will be more party zones where you will be illuminated with black lights and there will be pumping tunes to keep you moving. The finish will be one big party with a light show, black lights, glow sticks and music.
Some glow items will be provided, but don’t to come decked out in your glow items (glow sticks, glow paint, etc.). You be given a t-shirt to wear during the race. Wear clothing that you would be fine with getting glow paint or other glow items on.
This is a fundraiser for Speed the Light, a missions organization that provides vehicles to get children out of the sex trade and drilling wells for fresh water in 3rd world countries among many other things.
