Chatham – Upper Peninsula Research and Extension Center Field Day will be held on Saturday, July 25 from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at the Center, E3774 University Drive in Chatham.
Visitors will spend the morning touring the North Farm’s farm incubator and hoop houses. In the afternoon, visitors will move to the South Farm, where they’ll receive updates on the center’s systems projects, rainfall simulator and research plots, including the results of malting barley and forage variety trials. MSU faculty and center staff members will be on hand to answer questions.
The event will be held rain or shine, please plan accordingly! A free lunch is provided, sponsored by the Hiawathaland Farm Bureau.
