Calendar – Benefits/Fundraisers – Dead River Derby Benefit for UPAWS – July 25

Marquette – The Dead River Derby Girls will have a Bout to Benefit the Upper Peninsula Welfare Shelter on Saturday, July 25 with doors opening at 5 p.m.and the first bout at 6 p.m. at Lakeview Arena in Marquette.

Teams playing are the Dead River’s travel team, Rolling Riptide vs. Small Town Outlaws from Kalkaska. Dead River’s home team, the Superior Sirens will take on the Mitten Mavens from Lansing.

This is a family friendly event, Dead River provides concession, music and a bounce house for the kids.

Tickets are $8 in advance and $10 at the door. Children 12 and younger are free. Advanced tickets are available at brownpapertickets.com

Portion of the ticket sales will benefit UPAWS.
