GLADSTONE, MICHIGAN (June 22, 2015) VanAire marked the fifth anniversary of its Tuition Reimbursement Program by distributing checks totaling over $4,000 to employees for the 2014- 15 academic year.
The program reimburses up to 100 percent of tuition costs for classes related to an employee’s current or future career path with the company based on the grade achieved in the course. Those receiving an “A” receive 100 percent tuition reimbursement, a “B” earns 75 percent reimbursement, and a “C” 50 percent.
“We are delighted to be able to support our employees as well as great institutions in our area through this program,” states VanAire President and CEO William VanDeVusse. “We see an immediate impact in employee performance as their skills and knowledge increase as a result of the courses they are taking.”
This year, VanAire employees were enrolled at Bay College in diverse programs ranging from Welding to Pre-Engineering. Tuition reimbursement has averaged nearly $5,000 each year since being launched in 2010.
According to VanAire’s Human Resources and Safety Director, Jodi Possi, “The company encourages employees to participate in the Tuition Reimbursement Program by making them aware of courses being offered and accommodating their schedules whenever possible.” In addition to tuition reimbursement, the company also supports scholarship programs at Bay College and the Delta-Schoolcraft ISD.
VanAire is celebrating its 20th year in business in 2015. Tuition reimbursement is offered to all of the company’s nearly 80 full-time employees immediately upon completing 90 days of employment.
