Retired educator Dick Ross, who has more than 30 years of experience making kites, will lead the workshop. He will discuss kite origins, types, uses and safety, then help participants construct a single string kite, plus a second kite that will allow for more artistic expression.
Adults may be accompanied by a child. The cost is $3 for NCLL members and $8 for non-members, plus a $10 supply fee to be paid at the class.
Register by Tuesday, June 16, by calling 227-2979.
