“Kramer vs. Kramer” on Thursday, May 21 at PWPL

Marquette, MI – Peter White Public Library invites the public to a free screening of the modern classic film “Kramer vs. Kramer” on Thursday, May 21 at 6:30 pm in the library’s Community Room.

A just-divorced man must learn to care for his son on his own, and then must fight in court to keep custody of him. This well-acted drama resists the urge to take sides or give easy answers and stars Dustin Hoffman, Meryl Streep and Jane Alexander.

Based on the book by Avery Corman, “Kramer vs. Kramer” won five Academy Awards including Best Picture, Best Actor for Hoffman, Best Actress for Streep and Best Director for Robert Benton.

The film was released in 1979, is rated PG and runs for 105 minutes. Light refreshments will be served.

There is no admission charge thanks to sponsorship by the Friends of the Peter White Public Library. For more information visit www.pwpl.info or call 226-4318.
