Munising – An Open House for the National Park Service and Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore will be held on Thursday, May 14 from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Alger County Heritage Center, 1496 Washington Street in Munising.
The 100th anniversary of the National Park Service is approaching as well as the 50th anniversary of Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore and the open house is an opportunity to give the public information about the Centennial, describe some of the things that the park service staff is planning, and brainstorm ideas that involve the whole community.
