Dead River Derby begins Season 3 this Saturday, April 11th at Lakeview Arena. Doors open at %pm, the action begins at 6pm. This is a family friendly event. A portion of the proceeds will be donated to JJ Packs.
Come help support your local Roller Derby girls by cheering them on for their first double header bout. Dead River will begin by taking on the Division 2 Mitten Kitten Champs, Downriver Dollz from Woodhaven, MI. Then stick around for more action as Dead River will take on a local favorite, Keweenaw Roller Girls of Houghton.
A portion of the proceeds from the bout will go toward JJ Packs, a non-profit organization here in Marquette. JJ Packs started with a conversation over a Thanksgiving dinner by two parents, Habby Vigfusdottir and Kevin Carr. JJ Packs sends low income children home with nutritious packs of food on the weekends. Come out and help Dead River Derby support this wonderful program.
Doors open at 5pm and the bout begins at 6pm. Adult tickets are $8 in advance and $10 at the door. New this year includes concession provided by Dead River Derby including food, soda, and beer/wine sales. Children 12 and under are admitted are free.
