Marquette – The Annual Marquette Area Interfaith Holocaust Remembrance Service will be held on Tuesday, April 14, at 7 p.m. at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church at the corner of E. Ridge and High streets in Marquette.
The featured speaker will be medical anthropologist Dr. Barbara Rylko-Bauer, author of the recent book “A Polish Doctor in the Nazi Camps”- the story of her mother, a Polish Catholic physician who, as a Nazi political prisoner, was impressed into caring for the other slave laborers. Dr. Rylko-Bauer’s talk is entitled “Is ‘NEVER FORGET’ Enough? Reflections on my Mother’s Story”.
The program will include participants from multiple faiths and music by the Marquette Male Chorus and the Marquette Senior High School Chamber Chorale. All are invited to the service, sponsored by the Marquette Interfaith Forum and Temple Beth Sholom.
