NEGAUNEE, MI. — Author D. Michael Carriere brings young readers closer to nature in his new children’s book, “Jack, the Life Giving Tree.” His book is set to be released nationwide this week.
In “Jack, the Life Giving Tree,” Jack, the pine tree, likes to help others and do good things. His branches provide great places to play in. Some build their house in them. Others rest under his shady green umbrella near his trunk. However, Jack also has a very unusual way to bring life to other trees that look like him. Jack helps the forest grow, but he does it in the least expected ways. Tag along with Jack and find out how he brings the forest new growth in “Jack, the Life Giving Tree.”
Published by Tate Publishing and Enterprises, the book is available through bookstores nationwide, from the publisher at www.tatepublishing.com/bookstore, or by visiting barnesandnoble.com or amazon.com.
Carriere lives in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan where Jack grows. The author has also traveled to many places where other interesting trees live, such as India and Okinawa. “Jack, the Life Giving Tree” is the first of his several books that will become a family of trees. Carriere, who reads many books to his own grandchildren, is privileged to write to other children, who will learn more things about special forest dwellers.
