Southfield, MI — Today, the U.S. Senate campaign for Gary Peters announced that Vanessa Valdivia has joined the campaign as communications director.
Valdivia joins the team from Nevada where she most recently worked on the
Nevada State Democratic Party’s Caucus and as Deputy State Director and
National Spanish Language Media Press Secretary for Cory Booker’s
presidential campaign. Prior to that she served as Communications Director
for U.S. Senator Martin Heinrich (D-N.M.) and led the communications team
for his successful reelection in 2018.
“If Democrats want to take back the Senate, they have to win Michigan and
we’re not taking anything for granted. We’re confident in Gary’s record and
know he’ll continue to be an effective, bipartisan voice for Michigan in
the Senate,” said Communications Director Vanessa Valdivia.
