MARQUETTE, MI – Enjoy an evening of Celtic and folk music performed by The Knockabouts at Peter White Public Library on Tuesday, March 10 at 7:00pm in the library’s community room.
The Knockabouts is a local performing group made up of three musicians: Barbara Rhyneer, Tim DeMarte, and Tim Clancy. They have played together for over ten years for various occasions in the Marquette community, including workshops at the Hiawatha Music Festival, NMU functions, and ceili dances hosted by the Marquette Folk Dancers. Rhyneer plays the fiddle and mandolin, DeMarte plays the bodhran (Irish drum) and guitar, and Clancy plays the Irish flute and accordion.
There is no admission charge to the attend the concert, which was originally scheduled on March 1, thanks to sponsorship by the Carroll Paul Memorial Trust Fund of the Peter White Public Library. For more information visit www.pwpl.info or call 226-4318.
