Marquette – A faculty presentation on the “gothic” in art will be offered on Friday, February 27 at 1:30 p.m. in Room 165 of the Devos Art Museum at Northern Michigan University.
Art history professor Mitsutoshi Oba will present an overview of the idea of the “gothic” throughout history and how it is presented in today’s popular culture. The presentation will begin with 30 minutes of curated film clips that utilize gothic themes and symbols and then move into his talk on the subject.
