MARQUETTE – In partnership with the Michigan Reading Association’s Marquette Council, Silver Creek Thrift is helping promote literacy by hosting Gretchen Preston, author of the Valley Cat book series, on Saturday, January 10 and Saturday, January 24 from 10 am to 4 pm each day. The author will be available to sign books and special activities are planned for children. In an effort to make books available to people of all ages, Silver Creek Thrift is also holding a special Snowed-In Sale throughout the month of January. All children and adult books as well as board games and puzzles are half off their regular low price.
