MARQUETTE, MI – The Transition Marquette County Reading Group will hold a conversation about “Sacred Demise” and/or “Collapsing Consciously”, two books by Carolyn Baker, on Thursday, January 8, at 7pm in the Conference Room at Peter White Public Library in Marquette.
Baker, a psychotherapist and professor of psychology and history, is renowned for writings and workshops on emotional resilience in challenging times. Looking at the collapse of industrial civilization due to peak oil and climate disruption, she encourages us to find a way to live well, even in difficult times. “Collapsing Consciously” also includes 52 weekly meditations.
Anyone is welcome to join the conversation. It would help to have at least started to read one of the books. For more information call 226-3314 or email mqtchaz@gmail.com.
