Marquette, MI October 20, 2014 -Wow Animation, a creative program for children and their families, has released its schedule of classes for the upcoming months.
Through Wow Animation, young filmmakers will learn a variety of animation techniques. They’ll have the opportunity to write scripts, create puppets, record dialog, collect special sound effects and both shoot and edit their own animated films.
The goal of the program is to provide affordable and quality learning opportunities to everyone who is interested in the art of animated movie-making. Wow Animation is fortunate to have professional instructors, equipment and software to provide the best possible learning experience in a safe and friendly environment. The Wow Animation studio is located at the Upper Peninsula Children’s Museum, in Marquette.
The first seven-week, claymation classes are set for Tuesdays (Claymation I) and Thursdays (Claymation II), from 4:45 until 6:15 p.m. between October 21st and December 11th. There will be no classes the week of Thanksgiving.
There are also brickfilming classes (with Lego or Playmobil toys) coming in January and March, followed by cutout puppet animation and pixilation classes coming in April and May.
The classes cost $95 per student, with materials and equipment included. Also available are open animation station hours in one-hour slots Mondays from 10:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. The cost is $15 per hour. Reservations must be made by the previous Friday.
