Beginning at 7:00 a.m. on Monday, May 5, 2025, work will begin on a city-wide sidewalk repair project.
This project will include the repair of trip hazards, ADA compliance improvements,
and the abandonment of coal bunkers under the sidewalk at the northeast corner of
Washington Street and Third Street. Temporary lane shifts and parking disruptions
will be required to complete this project. Sidewalk removal areas will be clearly
marked with construction cones to warn pedestrians. Impacted business owners and
homeowners will be individually notified by the contractor.
