Marquette – A public book discussion of ‘In an Antique Land’ by Amitav Ghosh will be held on Wednesday, October 29 from 1 to 2 p.m. in the Shiras Room of the Peter White Public Library.
Part memoir, part detective story, part traveler’s tale, and part work ofhistory, “In an Antique Land” moves back and forth between the author’s experience living in the Nile Delta and his reconstruction of a Jewish trader and his slave’s lives in the eleventh century.
