Readers Theater – “Lady Windemere’s Fan” by Oscar Wilde on Thursday, October 16

MARQUETTE – Readers Theater welcomes the public to join in a reading of “Lady Windemere’s Fan” by Oscar Wilde on Thursday, October 16 at 7:00pm in the Peter White Public Library Shiras Room.

Wilde’s first produced play and an instant success on the London stage, “Lady Windemere’s Fan” chronicles a series of misunderstandings and deceptions in the high society world of Victorian London. Critics and audiences alike were charmed by Wilde’s trademark wit and intelligence and he became one of London’s most popular playwrights in the early 1890s.

Readers Theater is a group of adults who are interested in drama and are willing and able to read a scripted role. They meet on the third Thursday of each month to read plays for enjoyment. New readers are always welcome.

For more information call 226-4318 or visit www.pwpl.info.
