The Northern Center for Lifelong Learning will present a beginner's class on bird watching and wildflowers on Friday, May 1 from 7 a.m. to noon. The group will meet at the Berry Event Center east parking lot and carpool to Big Bay Pond.
Don and Mary Snitgen will share where to go, what to look and listen for, what binoculars work best and other tips for birdwatchers.
Black flies and other bugs may be out. Be sure to bring insect repellant, as well as wear clothing appropriate for the weather and sturdy shoes. The class will be held regardless of the weather.
The cost for the class is $4 for NCLL members and $7 for non-members. Registration deadline is Wednesday, May 14. Call Carole Bard at 228-9367.
